Before you start

Here are some things to know before you begin this process.

• This integration requires a Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento connected store with Yotpo installed. To connect an online store, check out Connect or Disconnect Your Online Store to Mailchimp.
• To make changes to the Yotpo integration, you’ll need a Mailchimp account with Manager level access or higher. To learn more about Mailchimp’s user roles, read Managing User Levels in Your Account.

Connect the Yotpo integration in Mailchimp

To connect the Yotpo integration to Mailchimp, follow these steps.

1. On the Yotpo page in your Mailchimp account, click Connect.
2. Review your settings and click Continue.
3. Review the access permissions you’ll be granting to the integration and click Connect.
4. Click the drop-down menu and choose the Mailchimp store you want to work with, then click Sync now. You’ll see a message that confirms that your sync is in progress.

Nice work. We’ll begin syncing your Yotpo reviews to your Mailchimp audience. Most syncs take a few minutes, but it may take longer based on the number of reviews.

Once connected, your review data is available across various Mailchimp tools to enhance your marketing strategy.

Manage your Yotpo account in Mailchimp

To manage your Yotpo integration from your Mailchimp account, follow these steps.

1. Click Integrations, and then choose Manage.
2. Click the Yotpo tile to open the integration settings.
3. On the Yotpo page, you'll find your integration stats, such as the number of reviews and reviewers for your store.
4. View recommended next actions and click to learn more about what you can do with Mailchimp. Options include setting up automations to send requests to contacts that are eligible to review a product and to send follow-up emails after a contact leaves a review.
5. Click Go to Yotpo to manage various settings in your Yotpo account.

You can use Yotpo signals to initiate marketing automation flows.

Segmentation criteria

Target specific groups of customers using the segment builder with Yotpo-specific filters. You can create segments based on different criteria.

• Review score Target promoters (e.g., 4-5 stars) or reach out to detractors (e.g., 1-2 stars).
• Product reviewed Group contacts who gave feedback on specific items or categories.
• Review status Filter by contacts who have submitted reviews versus those who are pending.

Email content blocks

Add social proof directly to your campaigns using the Feature a review content block. This block pulls specific customer testimonials from your Yotpo data into your email layout to build trust.

To feature a review in your email, follow these steps.

1. Drag the Feature a review content block into your email layout.
2. In the Feature a review window, click the Store drop-down and choose your store.
3. Use the search bar or filters to find the review you want to feature.
4. Select the review, then click Add review.
5. In the content block settings, toggle to show or hide the Review headline, Numeric rating value, Customer name, or to Truncate long reviews.

Contact activity

View individual customer engagement in the contact profile page, which displays review events, including the star rating and the specific product reviewed.

Disconnect Yotpo integration in Mailchimp

To disconnect Yotpo from your Mailchimp account, follow these steps in your Mailchimp account.

1. Click Integrations, then choose Manage.
2. Click the drop-down arrow for Yotpo, then choose Disconnect.
3. To confirm, click Disconnect.
4. A message will appear that'll confirm that you’ve disconnected Yotpo from your Mailchimp account. Click Continue.

That’s it — you’ve disconnected Yotpo from Mailchimp.
